    22 months on lees, Evergreen vineyard, 12.50%
    Candied fruit, fresh, youthful, citrus notes, herbal, chamomile notes, nectarine, orange, peach notes.
    Palate is juicy and smooth, tensity, nice acidity, candied notes, mandarin, apricot, med body, long finish.

  • 2022 François Villard Condrieu Villa Pontciana

    France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Condrieu

    16 months on oak (30%) , 50yo vines, selected plots
    Fresh, lower intensity, more reserved, closer to Terrases in style, the oak is more upfront, floral and fruity, mineral, tight.
    Palate is youthful, mineral, peach, apricot, high acidity, the oak frame is tighter and thicker, cuts a bit shorter than expected, a touch warm (13.50%)

  • 2022 François Villard Condrieu Les Terrasses du Palat

    France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Condrieu

    Quartz soil, 25yo vines, 11 months (15% new oak) +5 months tank, batonnage
    High intensity in the nose, fragrant, peach, apricot, tight, intoxicating though, floral notes, tense, concentrated.
    Palate is tense again, structured, mineral, full body, high acidity, profound, stong herbal notes, utterly youthful, rather difficult to drink now for me, long finish

    Quartz - micca soil, 30% new oak, 11 months lees, oak, 30yo vines
    Tense, tight, strong fruit core, less floral than Terrases, nectarine, mineral, frsh, youthful.
    Palate mineral, youthful, freshness, fruit forward, full body, elegant, nuttier than Terraces, a touch bitter but not annoyingly so, long finish.
    Beautiful, would love to find back vintages of this
