Tuesday, April 2, 2024 - Late posting this note.....enjoyed the bottle a few weeks back with Carol and Mary at a cute little Italian place here. I have to laugh a little at the CT drinking window on this one, which apparently ended back in 2013?

This bottle needed only a 15-20 min double decant, for sediment mostly. Back into the bottle and enjoyed over 2 hours with dinner. Medium garnet in the glass. Intoxicating nose of red fruit, florals, incense.....palate is completely integrated with both secondary and tertiary notes but the fruit is still going pretty strong even if the wine is just a tad thin in the mouth. I'd say this could go another 5 years easy, so a new drinking window of 2029!

These are killer bottles and at this stage of their lives, they will vary. I have 5 left! Im stoked and every time I pull one out to drink it with somebody, I take a second look at their face and then I return the bottle back to my cellar....LOL

It kept the wine pure and on focus, kept it from being too over the top, it was just right. Not austere. I love these well aged '90s Napa reds so much! I need to look for a few more bottles! Couldn't believe it when I say the CT drinking window ended in '13. Some people have no frickin' idea what they're doing......
