Wednesday, May 8, 2024 - Opened 2hrs prior to dinner & slox-oxed in Riedel BDX & btl the rest of the way. Served in high 50s/low 60s. Dark berry aromas w/ hint of smokey vanilla. Palate is rich balanced & lifted w/ dark raspberry, dark chocolate & mineral. Said to be 75% Cab & 25%CF w/ 25% new oak. Located in Calistoga w/ winemaker originally from BDX. Label states 14.7% alc. Didn't notice the alc. Big but fresh. Enjoyed this a bit more than the first btl back in Nov '22. Ready to go & great with meat loaf tonight. Solid value for $36. Drinks more like a $60+ Ca cab. Very tasty with a weeknight meal.
