Friday, April 29, 2022 - Nose is much like a candied marmalade mixture of caramel, vanilla, coconut, crème brûlée, tropical and stone fruits. Very floral, flinty, and yeasty. Some lychee nut, hazelnut and guava undertones. A strong sense of minerality runs throughout the wine. Very seamless with complexity in low, mid and high palate. A balanced mouthfeel that is rich and creamy. Perfect symmetry of acid, wood and tannins. Long double finish that ends on a high sucrosity note of tropical fruits, vanilla and oak. 50% new French Oak barrels. This is a big boy wine. Reminds me of a Peter Michael Mon Plaisar. This was after an 18 hour decant. Once again, I will tell everyone; decant, decant, decant your wines.
