Saturday, December 2, 2023 - Drank this while watching the boat parade on Lake Mission Viejo.
This followed a 2019 Las Piedras that overshadowed this a bit yet this was still very good.

My friend opened 2 bottles of this and both bottles were very consistent. Flavors of black currant, plum, cherry, violets, and a hint of tobacco. This was a medium to full bodied wine that had a nice suppleness to it but lacked the tannic structure of the Fait Main Las Piedras we drank before this.

Last time I had this vintage was a few years ago and it was $65. The 2019 on the open market and the 2021 from the winery is now $95. This wine is made by Jessie Katz a young up and coming winemaker and I enjoy his Aperture single vineyards and Devil Proof wines very much. I always felt like this was the neglected step child compared to those 2 other labels but with the rapid price increases in wine I am going to have to look a little harder at this label because of its relative value as I try to rein in my wine spending.
