  From a magnum. I guessed correctly that the lively pure fruit and acidity of the vintage would pair well with the fare (mostly spicy crustacean). This was beautiful; aromatic, elegant, delicious. Loved by wine drinkers and novices, and the bottle was quickly emptied.

  So true to my last note I gave this five years from last tasting. Cork was again moldy at the top but intact. Color is light Garnet with slightly bricking edges. Nose is black cherry and cranberryBut also shows a little brett maybe? Swishing shows mostly acid structure now with a tannin more integrated but still present. Sipping shows mostly cherry fruit and the structure takes a back seat. This is drinking nicely now but I think will actually hold for another five at least

  Lovely Vosne spice on the nose. Grippy but elegant, with black raspberry and cherry flavors. A bit chewy on the finish with somewhat light body and a good dose of acidity, like many ‘08s. I need more VR in my cellar.
