Twenty one years post vintage, and this is really coming into its own. Still has some fresh apple fruit, but also some gorgeous toasty notes, as well as a creamy edge to counterpoint the acidity. Very fine now, and still time in hand. Great value.

This was much better than the last one consumed so some bottle variation is evident. This was toasty, briochy with a long long finish and lemony zesty kick at the end. Very fine bead and mousse.

A: medium, gold N: pronounced aromans of brioche, yeast, yellow and red apple, honey, lemon, grapefruit, walnuts P: dry, high acidity, medium ABV, medium body, medium (+) intensity flavors, long finish on grapefruit and honey notes C: very good/outstanding wine, balanced acidity with remaining primary fruit, autolytics and tertiary development, good intensity and concentration, long finish and decent complexity, fine and still persistent mousse given it’s age. Well done, in its drinking window.

Drunk together with the 2008. This is clearly more aged, both in color (deep golden), in mousse (almost no visible bubbles), and nose (clear hints of honey together with the more classic grapefruit and citrus aromas). Full bodied attack, this wine has really fleshed out, lots of citrus and green apples together with a sweet hint of vanilla and honey. The mousse is really impressive: full, creamy and "thick". Good length. A wine that really has benefitted from aging. Still young, and will keep for many years, but I find this to be at the optimal point right now.

Brioche, lemon and lime, extremely fine bead, crisp finish, golden colour. Very good but drink up.
