Opened by Allred. 100% Pinot Noir from the Aube. The first time I have had this wine but I did have the 2009 Special Club from this grower in the past. This was served a little too cold at first but opened up as it warmed in the glass. This was a lean and crisp Champagne with notes of lemon, chalk and green apple. Moderate bead. 91 points.

MASTER CHAMPAGNE; 1/28/2019-4/30/2019 (WESTIN PALACE MILANO): Degustato alla cieca. 100% Pinot Noir. 4 g/l (deg. 01/2018) Solo inox. Naso di compatta vinosità, inconfondibilmente Pinot. Metallo dorato e un filo di maturazione ossidativa convincente e ben controllata. Frutta secca tostata e alghe. Schietto e sicuro, viene voglia di berlo. Bocca tesa e sapidissima, dritta e di grande energia. Elettrizzante l' acidità e il sale che si intrufolano e lo rendono affilato. Lungo, tattile e sostanzioso, anche se ovviamente troppo giovane. Finale trascinante al succo di limone. Vino trascinante, di facile beva, ma non banale.
