Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 97 points

  • Tasted from two outstanding bottles, this wine had a red center and light puce rims. The medium+ intensity nose offered up blackberries, rhubarb, clove, tan spices, smoke, and minerals.

In the mouth, this wine was light bodied with good richness and racey acidity. Its tannins were light and round and it had excellent length in a subtle way. While seemingly weightless in the mouth, this had a huge "griotte" flavor impact.

This wine had that classic Richebourg old vine intensity and was gorgeously integrated. The only thing that held this wine back from even a higher score was I believe it was lightly filtered during the elevage. Outstanding and ready.
