Ripe, mature and classic Brunello profile of black cherries, sweet and woody spices, tilled soil. Velvety firm tannins and wonderfully sweet, fleshy and moreish palate. Great Brunello, right at its peak and will hold for years yet.

Masters Dinner at Coppinwood. A beautiful Brunello and everything you would expect. A little brighter and more fruit than most and less leathery and earthy. This has got legs to last. What a joy. Wine Spectator nailed his review.

Drank 4/5/24; glass decanted 3 -4 hours, was good. Seems to be in a good spot and doesnt really need more time. Since only a magnum left, can let it age a little more but not too long

2 hour decant, and that should be the bare minimum, but perhaps could have used a little bit more. A very delicious wine at this stage, although didn't get to realize its full potential as the wine glass used was smaller. Classic style dark fruit, black cherries, leather, a little bit of oak, a touch of dark soy sauce flavor and sun dried tomatoes, and at times notable tartness and astringency that easily went away with heavier food (e.g. a meat heavy pizza was perfect, but I would also do charcuterie also). The cork broke in half upon extraction oddly enough but luckily the second half was fairly easy to remove.
