Took hours in the decanter to come together and fully integrate. Once it did - beautiful nose of berries, plums, raspberries, toasted or burnt wood, soil and minerals. Round and weighty, med+ body with med finish. This needs more time for sure. +3-7 years and a long decant.

Incredible nose of cherries and spice. Very Vosne I kept thinking to myself. Tannins resolved but needs a decanter and air as it opened up in the next 45 minutes. If this is indicative of the 2013 vintage, it felt slightly a bit thin but overall, this was a resounding success and speaks volumes about Chevillon as a producer. This was really impressive especially for the $80 I paid.

A gorgeous nose of red fruits, Asian spice and root vegetables. It is fine and lacy in the mouth, only mid-weight but nicely detailed. It finishes with precision and has good savoury nuance.

I bought one of these to further explore 2013. Should have grabbed 3 and will if I find at a reasonable cost in the future. Is 2013 the second coming of 2001 for red Burgs? Might be! PnP and slow ox in Burg glasses for 2 hours prior to dinner. This is why I love Chevillon and what they accomplish in NSG with a terrific array for sites and old vines. Semi translucent ruby red color. Floral, berries and sous bois on the nose. Raspberry, wild berry, earth, mineral, iron, game and sous bois on a delineated elegant and finessed palate. Avoids all of rough edges sometime found in NSG while clearly expressing the terroir. On the hunt for more.
