A bit of sulphurous at first, which thankfully blew off after 30 min. What emerged was a well constructed wine with flavours of lemon, lanolin, honey, coconut, wax, almond and marzipan. Solid acidity and decent finish. The wine’s power started to wane near the end of the bottle. Drink or hold.

A very fine chardonnay, modern but with enough depth and fruit to make it a charming wine.
Nose is a bit muted although there is clear note of seashells and match struck. A tightly wound body that has almost overpowering acidity but one that has tension and full of citrus, nectarine and lactose flavours. A fine finish. The laser focus intensity of the acid perhaps overshadows the fruit profile too much for my palate.
Drink now to 4+ years.
