Quite electric after a 2 hour decant, maybe capable of higher voltage with a few more years. Not trying to be prosaic, electric is just the word that kept coming into my head.

Dark fruit, plum, blackberry, cedar, hint of baking spice and some floral elements. Fruit on the palate is a bit sweeter than it smells, but the finish starts a bit bitter. Mellows out to a nice long fruity finish. Lots of tanning. Decent acid.
Definitely need to decant this for a couple hours. It was quite wound up when first opened. Lots of years of good drinking lie ahead for this wine.

Decanted for one hour. Nose of blackberry, currant, chocolate, graphite and spice. Black fruit, chocolate, spice and graphite on the palate. Long finish. Full bodied. Served with hickory smoked, reverse seared tomahawk steaks.

PNP. It took a solid hour to settle down. Similar to my notes in April, dark fruit, allspice and the cedar was a bit more prominent. Does not need a long decant at this stage. I really like what TOR and Jeff Ames do with their grapes.

Fantastic, but still very tight with grippy tannins. 5 hr decant helped. Even better in 5-10 years
