Pizza party (Amy and Scott's house): Decanted at least 1 hours. I am not a fan of K vintners and this was no different. This wine is heavy, dense, extracted, typical for this producer. Unscored.
You gotta rev up its engine: double decant over 2 hours + first glass was kinda "meh". Second glass and onwards though was impressive with maple syrup and even toffee notes. At 1.1 pts/$1 (my personal estimate and litmus test, especially for non-Cab Reds), it merits buying more!

Big plum and bark nose. Plush in the mouth - coats the tongue. Backbone of tannins but big, juicy fruit. Nothing subtle here! There is a complexity though, with the wine changing in the glass over a couple of hours. Long finish. This is drinking well now, but will be in a drinking window for quite a while.

tasted stewed (both bottles), concerned for light damage from inadvertent exposure of my K Vintners portion of my cellar. Huge bummer….
