  • Further to Sept 23 '21 note: I say bottle variation. This bottle was delicious--more like the Sept '19 experience: while medium gold, fruit was there along with more prominent honey note. Rich and tasty and interesting to see so much difference 2+ years later. Overall, seems Notable+ with a caveat about bottle variation.

  • Further to my Note of Sept 19, '19: this is #6 or 7. Changed significantly from last time: darker gold, tertiary flavors more like sherry. Interesting and drinkable in the right setting but well removed from two years ago. We'll see if there's bottle variation.

  • Further to my TN of Dec 24 '18: We tasted this over four days--still delicious with some modest decline by the fourth day: still notable+.

  • Further to my TN of Sept 20 '18: Another good bottle--reminded of richness vs crispness. Better match for rich food vs shellfish, for example. Solid notable+.

  • Bought a 12b-case online for 8.10/b last spring. CT TNs from past vintages helped me decide that vintage age was unlikely to be an issue. This is the fourth bottle from the case. Light golden color; rich stone fruit nose (some white peach), some honey, light oak); rich mouthfeel. Delicious with no sign of decline. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. My evaluation: I've stopped giving scores on a "100-point scale" as I've become less convinced that they can be meaningful to others. I use a 4-category scale (perhaps with +/-)--not including flawed--which runs outstanding/notable/drinkable/poor. I considered this notable+ when considering quality, age, and price.
