  • This one seemed more open that the rest, perhaps justifying the decision to leave a bit longer. It definitely hasn’t got the same knockout quality of other vintages (remember: this is 2000 weeks are talking about) but is a very pretty wine.

  • Still a lovely bottle. No decant. After having tasted quite a few 🤔 and a lot of the 2000 also, I must say that 2000 wasn’t their year. Not that it is bad. Just not as good as I would expect from that otherwise excellent year. Very little fruit left. Mostly tertiary notes. Very little tannins and good acidity. I like this wine very much but no need to cellar this anymore.

  • One of those nice surprises to come across almost forgotten on the wine list and we could not but attack it.
Impressively alive , bright and elegant, well secondary and smooth, polished and full of that old school left bank beauty. A joy but better one drinks sooner than later. 3 very consistent bottles all 3 an easy 91

  • This was a very nicely mature bottle with an immediate nose of fresh crushed blackcurrants, garnet plums, liquorice and cedar. The palate has a nice mouthful of dark berry fruits with a fine line of cedar, liquorice and walnuts balanced by a very gentle fine tannic finish. There is lovely purity in this wine which is now fully mature yet still fresh in its impact.

  • Sous boise nose with cedar chest and clay, the bouquet is unmistakably Bordeaux. In the mouth it’s very soft and nondescript, leaning heavily on the cedar playing around in the mouth, intermixed with that cool bell pepper that debuts in cooler vintages or from a big heaping of Cabernet Franc. All in all, too soft to hold and too easy to drink.Really nice but definitely on decline…..DRINK
