  • Vibrant dark cerise.
The nose vibrant and alive with pungent mineralite, charcuterie, sois bois, subtle but complex floral perfumes, red berries, Asian spice and a hint of animale. All of the above present on the palate balanced perfectly with the vibrant acidity, weightless mouthfeel, tannicly resolved. Soft, plush, gorgeous and delightful, a joy to drink.

  • Mmmm... everything I love in an older Burg.
Impossibly tight cork that took 5 minutes to budge.
    Dark red, still purple tinged.
Nose matches the palate, constantly changing and evolving... Initially intense red berries, smoke, violets, confection, after an hour quite rubbery with dark, damp earth, savoury nuances, then later still cherry liqueur, spice, Christmas pudding, coniferous forest floor. Silky textured, feminine, simply singing.
A superb result for a challenging year.

  • Highly perfumed Nuits with an engaging scent of violets, freshly grated ginger and sweet earth, It is fine and lacy in the mouth with good energy and nice complexity. The finish is quite minerally and there's sneaky persistence.
