Black raspberry, dark currant, and blueberry fruit up front. Notes of creme de cassis, earth, black licorice, forest floor, spice, and toasty oak. Dry Creek for the win here at 10-years old with a such a complex yet elegant wine. Firm acidity and tannins with great finish. So good now, but patience will be rewarded over the next several years.

Selections from Thomas Rivers Brown (Eagle Brook CC): Aromas of tobacco, back fruit, herbs and plum. Balance,d with an abundance of black fruit on the palate. Lingers on the finish. A bit more complexity than the younger vintages; nice to get a glimpse of what those may become. I like the complexity here, and this is definitely easy to enjoy.

Decanted and served. Thick, fleshy body and intense blackcurrant, spice, and earth in this cult-style Sonoma Cab. This is a crowd pleaser and a guzzling wine. Drink over next few years.

Pop and pour. Punchy, silky, full-bodied cocktail wine with black-cherry liqueur, grippy tannins, seamless finish transitioning to gravelly minerals. Gorgeous single-vineyard fruit just bursting with flavor. Great young, not sure about the future but all the ingredients are here.

I like it but honestly tastes a bit watered down vs a Napa cab from 2014. love TRB but this isn’t his best 2014 cab
