Decanted (with some sediment) for about 10 minutes which allowed the wine to open, but a slightly longer decant would have been better. The color was a medium plus violet to a lighter rim. A really enjoyable darker fruited wine with lots of spice. The medium to plus bodied palate showed black cherry, blackberry, plum, with touches of raspberry, red cherry, earth and herbs. The acidity was zesty and up to the job of balancing the fruit while there were some very light tannins on the finish. Will probably hold for some time but highly enjoyable now.

My favorite lc of late, as i start drinking up my cellar. In the same vein of all lc reds with ripeness pushed to the max at the expense of varietal definition or terroir, this bottling is successful in its cherry liqeur aromas and unctuous mouthfeel, offset by a smattering of dusty tannins.

A nose of dark fruits and spices, dark purple in color. A medium to full bodied Rhone blend, with black cherry, raspberry liquor and spices on long finish. www.winelx.com

This is an extraordinarily good CA Tempranillo blend. Dark reddish-purple color with cherry, blackberries, herbs, and earthiness. Firm tannins are well integrated with ripe fruit and medium acidity. Polished mouthfeel. Again, truly extraordinary--particularly at the release price of $75; I wish I had more.
