Appearance: deep ruby, medium+ tearing, very light staining, no rim variation nor sediment.
Nose: clean, pronounced intensity, developing, black cherry, black plum, red currant, back currant, bay leaf, gravel, tobacco, smoke, cedar, vanilla bean, dried cherry.
Palate: dry, medium+ acid, medium+ tannin, medium+ alcohol (13.7%), medium+ body, medium+ intensity, medium+ finish, black cherry, black plum, red currant, back currant, bay leaf, gravel, tobacco, smoke, cedar, vanilla bean, dried cherry.
Overall: A pretty good representation of a more restrained style of California Cabernet. Definitely fruit forward with some noticeable sweet oak, but trending more toward red fruits, savory black fruits, and a little bit of savory herbal and earthy qualities. Structurally the acid drives the wine, while the tannins are rather rounded (but still elevated), and the alcohol isn't obtrusive. A nice wine that drinks well on its own and can stand up to some richer foods.

Nalle on the nose. Coming together nicely, though probably has another 15 years of great drinking.
