  • Uncorked and drank over two nights without food. Put in refrigerator overnight. On opening, it has strong aromatics. On the palate, it's medium bodied with med intensity and acidity along with a decent finish. The first night, the only variety my wife or I could recognize was the Grenache and would've guess it was at least 60%. The black cherry stood out and at times there was a syrupy-ness that appearred. However, that fortunately didn't consistently present. On night #2, the cherry receded to a more savory note with the Syrah coming to the fore. Interestingly, the main grape at 37% was Cab Franc, that I would've never guessed as I couldn't detect any pyrazines. The Syrah was next at ~33% with Grenache the rest. Overall, I liked the wine and would drink again, but with too many Central Coast wines in my cellar I won't rush to buy it again. It's enjoyable and a little different that perhaps reflects the San Luis Obispo terroir of which I'm not familiar. I liked it and recommend others try. I think it will stay at peak another 2-3 years.
