  In return for delivering her paper a neighbor occasionally rewards me with an inexpensive bottle. I had indicated a preference for sparkling wine and this was the latest gift. I presume procured from a supermarket and I had no great expectations but I was pleasantly surprised. No region identified beyond France and no varietals listed on the label so the provenance is a little obscure. That said, we found it not half bad. Definitely dry, a slightly yeasty aroma, an unexpected earthy quality, moderate acidity. You can definitely quaff on this.
