Much better bottle than the last but still lacked acid and freshness. Fortunately this did have some nice notes of caramel and pineapple but remained really dense.

Rich amber gold color immediately earns an 'uh oh' on pouring. One of the ripest white burgs I've ever had and though the vintage difficulties were understood on purchase, at the Chevillon quality level this degree is still surprising. Not decanted and drunk over two hours, the second hour was better firmer fruit, such as it was, and more spice evident. Would recommend a one-hour decant to anyone still holding these as well as to approach with lowered expectations.

My first and potentially only time drinking this as there are only 2 tonneaux made from this white NSG according to Bertrand Chevillon. It‘s open and ready to go, also a child of the vintage with quite big body, lowish acidity and an overall roundness and ripeness that makes it accessible right away.
This was first a little bit tight, but opened up nicely in the glass while warming up a little. Notes of ripe yellow fruit, some citrus, some exotic fruit like pineapple, there is also a touch of sweet spices, some buttery notes too, oak is nicely integrated. It‘s medium-full bodied, with medium- acidity and good persistence, this is showing nice balance in a riper style. Pretty good length too. This is getting better and better while it‘s sitting in the glass. Lovely white Burgundy.

Dark gold color, exotic nose of spices / candied pineapple / kerosene (in a good way). Unctuous palate, great with salmon.

Not my favorite style. Low acid and vegetal. Oak is present but integrated. Not getting much fruit.
