Slow ox for 30 min; Private Preserve used after Day 1.
N: Somewhat closed, but potentially vragrant vanilla slightly atop cherries with a floral component & hints of earth
P: Rndish entry; Med body with LOVELY, ALMOST swtish frt met by a bracing, astingent pucker which does somewhat resolve by the LONG, balanced, TANGY/swt (65:35) finish with a bit of VERY slightly bitterish, firming tannins. Better with the food [GR (Spicy) Sausages], though 1 relative felt the opposite. [In retrospect I'm thinking I should either have given it > aeration or cellared it longer.] 🤔
// Day 2: ~ aromas, but > unified & difficult to parse? P has held nicely, & while fine with the night's Estofado (AR&IT)/Spinach Noodles, I thought it was slightly better solo.
// ∑: My EXC- (90,91/100 using that metric) RIGHT now (unless poss giving it > air than I did), but I'm thinking likely EXC in another 12-15 mos, then drinking through '25. Yet another NICELY done Runquist wine! 👍 🙂
