The reviews of this vintage are fine but, with one exception, they don't give much sense of whether people actually enjoyed what they had the dread duty of drinking. As Faith No More once sang 'It's a dirty job, but someone's got to do it!'
I have enjoyed several bottles of this from my local, usually awful, chain liquor store. Every time I have it, I want to guzzle it and I usually do. If this does not give you a blood curdling erection (or female equivalent, if you are one) and a case of raging desire then one must question whether you need to have someone hold you down and make you listen to Soft Machine's 1968 classic 'Why Are We Sleeping?'. Why, indeed. Wake up, get some wood and guzzle this whilst banging the nearest thing from pillar to post. 'Bella, ciao' should be your musical guide as you finish this wine, especially appropriate for this region.

Excellent Arneis. Lots of energy and tension. Well balanced with lively acidity. Attractive yellow fruits and citrus with a pronounced savoury quality.

Mixed Italians (Terra Rossa, N1): Hazelnut, freshly churned butter, ripe lemon and balmy white peach. Some spritz on the palate - round and snub-nosed as typical for the variety. Not much acidity and a satisfying bitter tightness on the finish

Medium yellow color. Med minus aromas of white peach, sea breeze, petroleum, yellow apple, pear, almond, maybe slight a bit of vanilla. Med acidity, med plus body, dry, high alcohol, long finish. Slightly oily texture. Moderately aromatic and some salinity and oily texture. Showing some nutty tertiary aromas and primary fruits are fading so drink now or possibly even past its prime.

A nice Arneis, but not the best. White floral notes on the nose with slight hints of citrus. The palate has flavors similar to the white floral scent edging into vanilla, green melon and persimmon. The body is medium, with balanced acidity. A nice quaff (better a tad warmer than refrigerator cold). ABV 14%.
