89/90. A traditional but earthy, decently oaked and volcanic infused a little bit foursquare red wine with decent length and nice freshness. Drink now or Lay down a couple of years. 13.5%. After an hours aeration some 2016 violets appear. Well made.
Dark forest fruits, moss, underbrush, Pinot funk, mushrooms. Bitter sweet with bright acidity. Short-medium finish. A very recognisable Spat and as was mentioned earlier a great qpr. Interesting wine and well worth trying at least once. PS: the wine is very much determined by its pronounced funky aromas. Some people may not like it at all.

Very good typicity and stable basic quality of Spätburgunder with nice balance and nothing "off". That raspberry and rosewater nose with a touch of pepper and dungeon, nice and lean and dry on the palate of unripe raspberry and a distant bacon. That is exactly why I drink Spätburgunder, a reliable product, and I challenge anyone to present me with a better qpr among Pinot Noir in general. I once had one, but that vintner gave up :(

As before. Will buy again as default Spätburgunder if no interesting alternative presents itself.
