Tasted at the winery, a second generation family operation that produces about 10,000 cases annually. All wines have been Estate fruit since 2014. This is a best barrel selection from the main estate blocks. 13.3% ABV, spends 12 months in 50% new French oak and 4 months in steel. Full Malolactic fermentation. Nose was a little muted, perhaps a bit too cold. With some aggressive swirling palate opens up a bit showing lime, flint, white peach and a very saline and oaky finish. Very crystalline.

Lovely yellow-gold color. Bright nose of tropical fruits with a bit of lemon. Beautiful, slightly viscous texture on the palate, lemons, guava, minerals. Crisp acidity, lovely balance. Finishes long, long and clean with lemon/lime notes. Gobs of minerals across the palate. Hint of vanilla on the mid-palate. Lovely stuff. Drink next 4 to 5 years.

Enjoyed this less than 2018. Found it a bit tropical on the palate

Their Premiere Chardonnay. Full malolactic without too much butter as it were. A little overpriced imo but a solid chardonnay

Return to Willamette; 7/2/2023-7/8/2023 (Portland & Willamette): If I was going to be a chard drinker this would be more in my vein. It’s lighter with a bit more honey. A bit of the ocean and some minerality. Very light and bright.
