With a touch of savory fruit, lovely fruit character but just thoroughly enjoy the base. Matt notes its the hardest wine to make. A core of Syrah, and then all of Syrah's friends is the quote. "Strucutally the most thrilling wine that we make."

In penetrably deep blackish purple robe and rim. Rich, black cherry jam and vanilla bouquet. Palate is packed with sweetish black cherry and damson fruit with prominent vanilla and liquorice and aniseed flavours. A heavily extracted, young blockbuster which will improve over the next decade.

A bit tannic when first opened. Drank bottle over two days and the tannins softened up nicely. Slight bouqet of red fruits, strawberry and cranberries with a hint of toasted cinnamon.
