Light purple & red. Classic bell pepper & strawberry nose, but with a backing of dark raspberry cleaning it all up. Good tension in the mouth, with a somewhat hot but long, fruity finish. After 24 hours, this really shows what it might be with age: a stunner.

I have to say after making several attempts over the course of a couple days, I didnt love this wine. Aromatically it is very bordeaux-esq... not as sweet and new world on the nose, but this was not a bad thing. What I found off was the palate and astringent and highly tannicness and lacking a fruitful balance. on its 2nd day I did open up a st estephe bordeaux wine that was way more fruitful by comparison, and way better. For the price point I felt disappointed, whilst I have enjoyed a Kobayashi Syrah. Maybe it was just this bottle.

Young, but drinking quite well at the moment. Green notes with blue and black fruits, hints of pepper. Light acidity keeps this balanced. Quite approachable, but I’ll be interested to see how this develops.

Had the pleasure to taste a large part of the 2021 Franc blend directly from the foudrier and wow! Blueberry, plum, and some red berry lightly sprinkled with black pepper in the initial sip. After a little swirling, some nice green pepper and gravel notes invoking Chinon popped out. Super young but a pleasant mouthfeel, great mid leading to a nice finish. Super excited to try this out of the bottle when released and then try and hold a few bottles to lay down. Would love a winemakers dinner with this winery as I think they are very food friendly wines as well as delish on their own.
