N….medium+ intensity of savoury dried brown herb, dusty barrel; then a touch of saddle room, a hint of cigar. Lovely Nose, and it feels that with cellar time it’ll get even more interesting - clear potential here.
C…light red, looks L to M body.
T…..at 4 yrs already a lovely glass of NW Pinot - New World yet there seems a touch of Burgundy about this Otago wine. Savoury flavours, interesting red fruit, pretty much a Dry red, soft tannins, enough acid, a nice balance, a touch of elegance which feels like it’ll get better. Already an interesting glass of wine yet feels will deliver more later on.
QPR?….costs around £30 and feels worth every penny of that. Good VFMoney. If it was a village-level red burgundy I’m guessing they’d want £60 retail/£100+ restaurant.

Decanted 10 mins only but included plenty of swirling.
Screw cap.
£30 at Waitrose Direct.
N….wet autumnal forest floor, damp boots; medium intensity. Already a nice sweaty wet earth character, even at 4 years old. Some red stone fruit/berry fruit aroma. Interesting and exciting.
C…..light red, no sign of age
T…..nice complex savoury flavours, plus ripe red berry fruits, feels immature but plenty of potential; some dry brown herbs, feels near-dry. Acid is good, flavours are long enough but not exceptional. Feels like it has loads of potential. Mature at 7 yrs?
Probably would have been softer rounder with a much longer decant.
QPR?…..Bargain: costs £30 yet already feels worth more, and feels will be worth loads more when mature - £40/50.00 ? Definitely buying more.

Delicious. Deep ruby red, nose of forest floor and mushrooms, cinnamon and mixed spice, mid weight palate, balanced acid and fruit flavours with a little cedar and dried meats, lovely long finish, polished tannins... easily 5-10 years ahead...

Consumed at The Hermitage, Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park, New Zealand. Mid weight burgundy red color. Raspberry nose. Nicely tart red fruit with a good dose of black pepper. Really nice balance: good acidity, fruit and modest tannins

Vibrant aromas of black cherry, tyhme and white pepper, cherry again to taste with redcurrant, plum and cinnamon. Fine tannins, touch of vanilla and oak. Good concerntration and purity of fruit, though flavours tightly wound at this age. Callow but clear potential to improve.
