Day 1: Very nice with cranberry, smoke, violets, spice and forest floor. Medium finish and has a nice dusty element. Should improve over 3 days. 91 points. Day 2: So many wines need time and this is no exception. Reviewing this on a pop and pour is a huge disservice. Much more fruit showing on day 2 featuring strawberries, rhubarb and cranberries. Nice addition of floral notes, earth and stone. Very well made wine. 92+ Day 3: Still showing well with strawberries, cranberries and rhubarb. Spices, dust, earth and underbrush. Medium finish. Solid overall but needs some cellar. 92 points Recommendation: Drink 2027 to 2032.

Direct bee-line out from the Vanduzer corridor. "In Oregon, the spice comes from the wind." The more ventilated and exposed, the more spice. That seems to have a little bit of a reductive funk to it. And then those flavors carry through on the palate.

30 minute decant. I'm usually not a huge fan of wines from this vineyard, but tonight this bottle showed no green edges. Black cherry framed by loam, minerals, cola and subtle oak. Really nice texture and structure. Now-2026.
