Delicious. Purchased last September at the winery. Nose was medium low intensity, though once you got your nose in the glass it had nice dark red fruits and a little oak. Palate was actually very plump with lots of primary flavors - red fruit with great purity and a touch of oaky complexity, though not overdone. I definitely got some signature Dundee strawberry notes, maybe some black cherry as well. Tannins/acidity were very integrated, which was surprising considering the label has it at 14% alc. It's super approachable already with a smooth mouthfeel, reminding me of some 2017 burgundies I've had. Great Oregon pinot.

Ok bouquet not the really fragrant one as some other DDO wines, needs time, fruit still a bit suppressed with oak, a bit of candy flavor, slowly opened with some nice sipping at the end, drank with chicken schnitzel with pasta with mushrooms, tomatoes and zucchini, Laurene is an interesting wine, not as intense as Louise and not as light as the the basic PN, enjoyed but not thrilled, WS # 16 ???, will see how ir develops, will drink again.

This wine has medium aromas of cherry and raspberries. On the palate, there is pronounced cherry with orange and floral notes. Medium bodied with fine tannins. Drinking really well right now.

Having had the Pinot Noirs from all of Roserock and DDO, to me, the Zephrine is the pinnacle of their holdings.
DDO Laurene:
silky and elegant like Usual PN characteristics
Pale ruby Raspberry Cherry Strawberries
Remnants of green stems?
Body medium Alcohol high Acid med high Viscosity fully enveloping Tannin medium and resolving Finish long 60s+ Ageability seems to have a decade plus ahead of it
This is drinkable now, however likely to gain nuance and character.
PN-100% 14.1% abv
Addendum - The leafiness or the green stems seemed to have substantially reduced on day 2. Maybe it just needs time to resolve, or go thru the a process wherein that bitterness becomes lessened.
I'll have to buy another of these to check if it's an individual bottle thing. But, if this is the case for all bottles, then I would much rather but Zephrine for the same dollar.
PS - Drink The Rainbow!

Sweet ripe cherry fruit. Very tasty depth of dark cherry fruit - like cherry liqueur - and yet not a lot of elegance or nuance.
