My contribution to the Xmen wine tasting tonite. 90% Sangiovese, 10% Merlot. Nose opened up after a while in my glass, showing aromas of sweet cherries, violets and some leather. Pink hue around the glass is a ready indication of the wine's youthfulness. Medium body, sour cherry flavor dominates, along with definite spiciness. Modern style wine, noticeable oak, along with hints of iron, dust and leather. Gritty, but also somewhat chalky tannins too. Medium, somewhat bitter length. Easy wine to drink. Nice everyday Sangiovese.

A great every day drinker, especially paired with pasta and marinara sauce. Sour cherry, dust and leather on the nose. Dry. Medium + acid and medium, somewhat gritty tannins on the palate. Medium finish.
