Nose of cherry, strawberry, and raspberry, same on the palate, big body, tasty, sweet fruit then a bitter taste on the mid palate prevents cloying fruit, medium finish, lovely aftertaste, under $10 so an easy "beat the heat" sipper.

The Fourth Annual World’s Largest Blind Tasting of American Sparkling Wine; 12/20/2021-12/23/2021: Retail $15. Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, Gamay, Zinfandel, Chenin Blanc. Medium pink, on the verge of bubblegum, with oodles of fruit (strawberry and cherry) and a bit of minerality. On the palate, it comes off as a bit sweet but I think it is just that intense fruit witnessed on the nose. Really rich and a fun quaff.
The Third Annual Blind Tasting of American Sparkling Wine: Retail $13. Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, Gamay, Zinfandel, Chenin Blanc. Light in color, pink with an orange tint. Muted aromas, eventually some cherry (less Bing and more Jolly Rancher). The palate is immediately sweet, but nowhere near cloying, with good fruit flavors, some depth, and a lengthy finish. As a champagne purist, of sorts, the sweetness is a bit off-putting, but once past that? This is a pretty well-done wine. Cut the dosage in half, please. thedrunkencyclist.com
