  Concentrated, modern style of wine. Beautifully ripe dark berries, minerals and licorice, herbs and spices, firm and round acidity and tannin. Well made, but no wow factor.

  Decided to pop another after the flawed one, just because I was mad about the first one being corked. Thank Dionysius this one wasn't. But, it needed 3 hours to really start waking up, 6 hours to really sing. Graphite, leather, dark dried fruit, a bit of licorice, lovely tannins, nice lift, and a short tongue-tingling finish.

  Nose of black fruit, licorice, milk chocolate, allspice, wet gravel. and saddle leather, same on the palate, licorice almost makes for a creamy taste, auction bottle for a new producer to me, interesting, fairly fruit forward, almost mouth filling fruit, almost elegant, peaks in 2 years but enjoyable now with a 3 hour decant, has a hint of very soft tannins on the medium/long finish.   An easy afternoon with close friends; Bordeaux (@ PdV): Beautiful and complex bouquet with smoke, minerals and chocolate. On the palate licorice, firm and good acidity, some pepper and soft tannin. Silky soft wine.
