Enjoyed with the gang. As Mark said, “this is your classic VHR.” This wine wowed us all. A great combination of power and acidity. To me, this wine was a well oiled machine running perfectly. Black fruits. After sitting in the glass for 1.5 hours. It held its own and was still strikingly perfect.

Brought to the table tonight by JAronson and thoroughly enjoyed by all. I do not recall the decant time, but it was poured at our tasting table tonight, just one sniff and you can tell it's VHR fruit! very telltale nose and palate on this one. Integrated, with blacker fruit, smooth and ready. Loses a bit of its steam 2-3 hours in tonight, but maybe just a point or so. My first Harlan wine (separate of Mascot) and it's very good. Thanks for bringing, James!
Huge. From a 375. As powerful as a wine can get yet still maintain balance. Very long finish. Dark voluptuous fruit. Cassis and black cherry. White pepper. Decadent. Should evolve for decades. Hiding in there is a turley hayne zin.
