2007 Kistler Chardonnay Hudson Vineyard (USA, California, North Coast, Carneros) 11/19/2009herberto92

This was very nice. Impeccable, really. Beautiful nose, good density of ripe fruit, with a nice acidic lift and a hint of minerality. Not overripe, not overoaked. Very nice. However, didn't really excite me. This is my first of the 2007 Kistler chards. I love the 2006s - Kistler made hands down the best chards in California in a tricky vintage. With 2007 being a "better" vintage, I expected to be blown away. And I wasn't. But I suppose I shouldn't complain. (1 view)

2007 Dominican Oaks Chardonnay (USA, California, Napa Valley) 11/20/2009team-blackburn86

Not as good as previous bottles, very acidic similar to a sav-blanc. Not the buttery well balanced oak mouth coating chard I remember. (3 views)

2008 Domaine Antugnac Vin de Pays de la Haute Vallée de l'Aude Place du Marche (France, Languedoc Roussillon, Languedoc, Vin de Pays de la Haute Vallée de l'Aude) 11/20/2009Snookboy86

I agree with many of the comments, an unusual citrus aroma and flavor. Spritzy, acidic. Mid weight, mild tannins. Short finish. Very different. Probalby will become a bit tiresome, but hey for 8 bucks, not bad. (3 views)

2002 Verget Bâtard-Montrachet (France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru) 11/20/2009aof96

This was a fabulous bottle of wine that showed glorious aromatics married with profound intensity and persistence and a deft balance. The flavors and balancing acidity wax and wane much like a Dvorak violin concerto, its high tone only apparent with oysters, musssels and sauteed halibut. What it currently lacks in supreme density is more than compensated for in its intensity and delineation. Easily the most profound white wine I've had and it's not done yet. (24 views)
