Nicely integrated at this point. The tannins are very powdery. Cedar nose. Bitter chocolate on the palate, with Worcestershire notes, some dark fruit. Lovely but at end of drinking season.

Barely starting to open up, this wine needs at least another year in the bottle and should go longer. Yummy notes of raspberry and tar. Was better on day 2. If you want to drink this wine now, plan on a long decant.

Mmm, blackcurrant, tannins. Not great weight or roundness, but decent acid. Might taste a little of alcohol than more fruit, as it seems be only the tart blackcurrant, tannins and mineral that I can taste. Nice though.
Good PV. Has the dark inky flavour, with blackcurrant. As with all single PVs I've tasted is a bit "empty"/ It hs a lot of flavour and fruit without -being full-bodied. Lots of tannins, as expected, and this should age, but that won't add to its body, which is a pity. Long tanniny finish. A little hot from alcohol, but not oppressively so.
Great experiment to drink PV on its own, but it is best blended into a ore rounded wine with some red fruits, earth, leather etc. to complement it.

Opened and decanted for four to five hours. Went very well with an Easter ham with a light glaze, roasted vegetables, and kalamata olive rolls.

This wine was pretty boring and flat. Blackberry, spice, rosemary. Lots of tannin and full body, but absolutely no finish.
