| Community Tasting Notes (average 87.6 pts. and median of 88 pts. in 7 notes) | | | Tasted by mschechter on 7/3/2010 & rated 90 points: Much better than the last time I tasted it. Not overly complex, but very good flavors, well integrated and full bodied. Very much enjoyed. (165 views) | | | Tasted by SStern on 5/21/2010 & rated 87 points: Very light nose. Spicy. Better than last time I had it but still not great. (188 views) | | | Tasted by SStern on 4/5/2010 & rated 86 points: Throwing serious sediment took away from the experience of the wine. Nose was weak but tasted much better. Had with Dairy which may not have been the best pairing. (253 views) | | | Tasted by mschechter on 3/26/2010 & rated 89 points: Pretty good, a little one dimensional, and not "big" enough for my taste, either. (280 views) | | | Tasted by Rkalimi on 2/14/2010 & rated 88 points: (247 views) | | | Tasted by yonatage on 8/1/2007 & rated 89 points: Deep, inky purple. Aromas of smoky oak, meatiness, a hint of tomato paste, and overall vegetal notes. On the palate, wonderful mouth coating tannins, with flavors dominated by green vegetables, herbaceousness, and a hint of red fruit. A bit fishy on the long, vegetal finish. (934 views) |
| By Gary Vaynerchuk Wine Library TV, Expanding Palates on Passover with New Kosher Wines - Episode #839 (3/29/2010) (Carmel Kayoumi Cabernet Sauvingnon) #1; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-dark; NOSE-more vegetal than I expected; green pepper; some cedar coming across; very grapey; some pomegranate as well; I like this nose; PALATE-pretty silky smooth; nice richness; very grapey on the palate as well; there's an interesting kind of Bonkers candy aspect (a mix of wax and candy) on the finish; I think it's well made and structured; I like the coffee cocoa thing, but a little too thin and one dimensional for me; solid, this is better than many $30 wines from Napa or Bordeaux, but still a PAZZZ at $30 bones because there are better wines out there between $15-$20; ; DR-91; GV-88+ 88+ points | NOTE: Scores and reviews are the property of Wine Library TV.
