Decanted for an hour for a short rib Shabu Shabu dinner.
-color: a deep, vibrant ruby -Body: by appearance this is a medium body typical Pinot noir but with 14.3 abv on the bottle -Aroma:deeper red fruits with a toasted wood spice with light cracked black pepper, dark cherry and raspberry -Palate:Black Cherry and dark red cherry with cherry stem tannins, acidity is medium, tannins are relatively light medium minus to medium.
There is a very long finish to this wine but it’s not a terribly strong one just a mix of cherry and peppery stems that trails for ages into the distance.

Popped and allowed to open in the glasses. With no prior experience with this wine, I didn't know what to expect but pleasantly surprised that vintage was still drinking well. No written notes, but worked nicely with a shrimp and spinach salad. One bottle left.

14.3% abv. Darkly colored; semi-opaque. Starting to taste like a mature wine in a pleasant way; has some savory undertones. Held up to a beef and noodle dish from Boston Market one evening (a microwave evening as I was busy with volunteer tutoring and getting my flu shot.)

Needed 30 minutes to open after decanting. Light, elegant wine that went well with Norwegian salmon.
