  • (Not sure if this is the same wine as the label above is not the one I'm drinking (mine is called "Passione") and a note below says it was like a Sauternes and this is NOTHING like a Sauternes at all (it's a lightly sparkling red)

But anyhow, this is a lovely bottle of wine! Quite surprising how well this has aged being a 2006 (and drinking in 2015) for a Brachetto. Slight bricking to the color, bubbles still present. You can taste the age, but in a good way. Easy to drink, yet deep and complex. Red slightly pruned fruit, with a dusty and intriguing earthy backdrop. Really surprised with how enjoyable this is, great stuff! Reminds me of brunch in Venice.

  • Like a Sauternes but less syrupy and more acidic. Fantastic. Paired with panna cotta at flavor in SD

  • Score is cultivar specific. This is lightweight and very fun. And very good compared to the two or three other Brachetto d'Acquis I've tasted. Black cherry soda and pixie dust. Sweet and alluring.
