Tasted by brythephotoguy on 11/15/2009 & rated 89 points: Popped & poured. Intense tropical fruit on the nose - pineapple, mango & lemon rind. Well balanced palate of peach & lemony mineral notes with the telltale grassy notes coming through on the back end.

Paired very well with spicy Chinese. Great buy as always. (884 views)

Tasted by prasm on 10/30/2009 & rated 89 points: Popped and poured - consumed over2 hours. Color: Could be mistaken for water its so clear. Nose: Immediate sense of freshly cut grass with grapefruit in the background. With a swirl the grapefruit wakes-up and dominates. Palate: Nice mouth feel with tropical fruits and a little acidity. Finish: Nice 10-15 seconds of the grapefruit. Its rare that I drink whites but this was very enjoyable and well worth the $17 tariff. (1912 views)
Tasted by Anonymous on 10/30/2009 & rated 88 points: think it has passed it's peak. Good, but not nearly as floral a nose as the other bottles I have had. Also, less passionfruit notes. (1895 views)
Tasted by Dieter01 on 10/30/2009 & rated 90 points: Light yellow color. Great acid. Sitrus and tropical fruits on the nose. A peach bomb with some grapefruit in there as well. (1970 views)

These grapes were selected from a number of vineyards throughout the Marlborough region. Individual blocks were targeted for their strengths and overall contribution to the blend. The grapes were machine harvested in the cool of the evening and overnight to preserve flavours. Each block was kept separate throughout the various stages of the winemaking process. Fermentations were carried out at cool temperatures and when all tanks had completed ferment they were proportionately blended, fined, stabilised and bottled. All these factors have resulted in the plethora of fruit flavours, power and complexity of this stunning wine.
  • Colour: Pale green.
  • Aroma: Lifted aromatics of tropical fruits combined with the traditional nettle and herbaceous aromas of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
  • Palate: Firm acidity is surrounded by hints of sweat, tropical fruits and herbaceous notes with hints of citrus sneaking in. A whopping mouthful of Marlborough.
  • Food Match: Good to drink with anyone at anytime. Ideally suited to asparagus, oysters and summer salads.
  • Cellar: This wine will continue to develop for years to come.
  • Brix at harvest: 20.8 – 22.1
  • Alcohol: 12.9%
  • Titratable acidity: 7.1 g/L
  • pH: 3.34
  • Residual sugar: 3.5 g/L
