Tasted by Rupal on 10/22/2009 & rated 84 points: Good wine, very jammy.. Even hints of sweetness. OK wine. Decent value for the price. (252 views)
Tasted by rrtims on 10/13/2009 & rated 86 points: Good old vine zin. Bold taste. A little harsh at first, but it gets better.l (305 views)
Tasted by JHaslam on 9/22/2009 & rated 84 points: (280 views)
Tasted by collinb227 on 9/12/2009 & rated 89 points: Initially very acholic, and hot
after the first hour it really mellowed out
grapy with a little pepper (446 views)
Tasted by billyg on 8/27/2009 & rated 88 points: Some berry juice with a little oak on the nose. Blackberry, blueberry attack. Vanilla mixes with the berries on the transition. Sour raspberry on the finish. This is a pretty good value for those who like the hot weather zinfandel style. (537 views)
Tasted by nkatuhn on 8/17/2009 & rated 89 points: Initial taste wasn't spectacular, but the second sip got much better. There was a sour note that seemed to saturate the tounge and then wasn't noticeable any longer. This wine has a fruity initial punch of currant and cherries, with a long fruity and somewhat spiced finish. Notes of cinnamon seem to come through in the middle. A great drink for the $13 price point. (587 views)
Tasted by Patch on 8/1/2009 & rated 87 points: Nice and smooth. A touch of spice without much acidity. (685 views)
Tasted by jaalol on 7/23/2009 & rated 83 points: (527 views)
Tasted by mpricher on 7/18/2009 & rated 86 points: Nothing special in this Zin. It is easy drinking and a little jammy. Otherwise, there is better juice out there for $1-2 more... (797 views)
Tasted by skoch on 7/12/2009 & rated 85 points: Light garnet color; nose of dark berries and a hint of spice and leather; somewhat light body with berry, pepper, and coffee predominant; tannins a bit heavy; a bit short on the finish (758 views)
Tasted by JHaslam on 7/7/2009 & rated 84 points: (566 views)
Tasted by twinge on 6/28/2009: Very fruity. I really enjoyed it. (836 views)

Tasted by mraschko on 6/6/2009 & rated 84 points: (643 views)
Tasted by WineBovine on 6/5/2009 & rated 86 points: Very nice for this price range! (927 views)
Tasted by mpricher on 5/25/2009 & rated 88 points: Solid old vine for the money, but not as good as some others in this range. It had a little Welchs Grape kool-aid and heat action that I felt was too common in cheaper Zin fair. Overall it did a decent job hanging with pork Sausage and Spinch mixed with Shell pasta and herbs. I was hoping for a little more depth. (973 views)
Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 5/21/2009: Good at $13. (982 views)
Tasted by Bellissimo on 5/5/2009: Tasted on the second night of being open. Nose showed jammy currants and raspberries. Taste was peppery dark fruit, hot on the mid palate and showed a surprising amount of tannins. Alcohol was still too strong though. (1193 views)
Tasted by VinoPKM on 4/25/2009 & rated 84 points: Zins of Spring (Wine Exchange- Orange, CA): Wine was still a little green and earthy. Less fruit in this vs. the other Cline. There was a little more spice. (1128 views)
 Tasted by jtt300 on 3/28/2009 & rated 86 points: (837 views)
Tasted by graysofwrath on 3/14/2009 & rated 87 points: (901 views)
Tasted by cavino on 3/4/2009 & rated 83 points: Very easy to drink. Nose: dark and bright berries, Taste: Chocolate, light tannins, medium bodied. light acidity (too light?). No aftertaste-- a simple wine that didn't really need any decanting (and didn't really benefit or change after decanting). But no complaints... it's good. (1318 views)
Tasted by nibiru on 3/1/2009 & rated 88 points: Very approachable drink-now Zin. Nicely balanced with no detectable heat despite the 14.5% alcohol. Dark berries, spice, and oak without being over jammy. Great with hamburgers. Great QPR for an under $15 bottle of wine. (1369 views)

California Wines (Wine Institute of California)

California is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, with almost 100 grape varieties grown in almost 10 viticultural areas, including dozens of different microclimates and soil types, as well as a very individualistic set of winemakers, many with international experience, which adds to and deepens that diversity.
