Community Tasting History

Community Tasting Notes (average 87 pts. and median of 87 pts. in 3 notes)

Tasted by ggkemp on 1/1/2010 & rated 87 points: Fun, enjoyable. Shiraz comes clearly thru the fine bubbles. (88 views)
Tasted by BoilerLax on 9/4/2009 & rated 87 points: Fun alternative to Champagne or white sparkling. Definite Shiraz in nose and underlying tone, but very playful and light. Loose fruit and abrupt finish, but leaves you wanting to drink another sip and keep it in your mouth. Accidentally bought a case at the event and decidedly gave half away as gifts until I realized that I actually liked this more than I had remembered. WELL received as gifts, wish I had kept a few more bottles. This has been a crowd pleaser at an average of $10 a bottle by the case. (127 views)
Tasted by jivey on 4/4/2009: Offline event, Kinda fun> (254 views)

California Wines (Wine Institute of California)

California is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, with almost 100 grape varieties grown in almost 10 viticultural areas, including dozens of different microclimates and soil types, as well as a very individualistic set of winemakers, many with international experience, which adds to and deepens that diversity.
The North Coast American Viticultural Area (AVA) in California, covering more than three million acres, includes Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake counties, and portions of Marin and Solano counties. (see The Wine Institute for more information)
