| | Tasted by nietzschephilosopher on 10/15/2009 & rated 90 points: This is quite good, bright fruit with some spicyness. Goes great with pizza. Highly recommend! (459 views) |

| | Tasted by benny on 10/1/2009 & rated 91 points: Popped and poured. Now this has a real nose. First fig and minerals and later in the bottle granite. The finish was still persistantly long. Somewhat food specific. Had some characteristics of a Burgundy. (566 views) |

| | Tasted by marcw23 on 8/31/2009 & rated 89 points: Nose of dark fruit and smoke. Very velvety tannins and dark cherry on the palate. Somewhat short finish with very little heat. Overall a great wine, tannins were somewhat dry at first, but really smoothed out later, especially on the 2nd day. (709 views) |

| | Tasted by cweiss on 8/5/2009: Palate with attractive Rhonish fruit, good depth. Too tannic for Glenna. Will try again in another year. (950 views) |
| | Tasted by z_willus_d on 8/2/2009 & rated 89 points: 2+ hr decant. Medium light ruby color showing a little more opacity than liquid serenity. NOSE- tight leather with a nip of sun-heated game blood, dark fruit black raspberry/cherry, hard and chewy black liquorish, dry road shrubs, and steamed grape leaves. PALATE- nice focus of rendered, pure cherry juice, then cracked pepper with the first wave of acid, next a slightly creamier version of the cherry flavors (think Thrifty's Black Cherry Ice Cream -- love that stuff), followed by the leather and country shrubs (inc. anise) on early finish with the 2nd acid wave at the end. This is really nice wine and it hits all the right spots with good complexity and leaving very little fodder by which to fault it. (934 views) |
| | Tasted by mcook_ky on 7/28/2009 & rated 90 points: Fruity nose but that is it. The first drink was like biting into a piece of 75% chocolate with a touch of dark cherries (995 views) |
| | Tasted by Anonymous on 7/26/2009 & rated 91 points: Once again impressed by this wine, and everyone in our party loved it. Nothing to add over previous note. (1005 views) |
| | Tasted by Musicman on 7/24/2009 & rated 88 points: 60% black grenache, 10% carignane, 30% syrah. First night: After 1 hour of air absolutely no nose. Hard black fruits with fine dry tannins. Very well balanced. Saved 1/2 bottle for second day. Great to see carignane in the blend which adds a hint of rusticity. Second day: Nose begins to open but still relatively tight. Hint of licorice on the nose. Even better balance the second day. Third day: 1/8 bottle left. Still fully alive. This will be fun to watch in 2-5 years with great potential for a higher score. Tasted in a Riedel Sommelier Bordeaux glass. (1015 views) |

| | Tasted by Giggs on 7/19/2009 & rated 86 points: Spicy and viscous with bitter cherry and earthy character. Improves with food. A few years will do this well. (1082 views) |

| | Tasted by winesteaksushi on 6/24/2009 & rated 89 points: Color: Mostly ruby red with a bit of purple, not too dark, somewhat viscous. Smell: Big, bold fruit, spicy, noticeable heat, toasted oak, smoke, clove cigarette, cherry, hint of vanilla, the fuzzy skin of a ripe peach (no, I'm not crazy, another person found the same thing). Taste: Big acidity start to finish, fruit muted and hard to find in the oak, ash, smoke, and spice. Some nice velvety mouthfeel during mid-palate swish, some pistachio and mint. Finish is long and complex, starting with the spice and heat, moving to some nice fruit of blackberry and cranberry, and ending with vanilla and oak notes that are very pleasant. Maybe some years to mellow it, but reasonable drink now. (1356 views) |
| | Tasted by njAndrew on 6/21/2009 & rated 88 points: This was my second bottle, had it a few weeks ago so I will go from memory. Out of the bottle it was a little disjointed and I didn't enjoy it. After an hour in the decanter and with food it was good. Dark fruit and smooth, not much oak. With food this was good, on its on not so much but might need some age. (1274 views) |
