| Tasted by STSUPERY on 7/15/2009: Our Cabernet Franc ripened well, and without the pronounced herbaceousness that can vex overcropped or densely canopied Cab Franc vineyards. You can taste the plummy and dried-berry intensity of the fully ripe fruit in this wine. The medium-full body is enlivened by the right amount of tannin and acidity. Anise aroma from the fruit and cedar from French cooperage lend a dash of spice. Semi-sweet cocoa adds another point of interest, with woodsmoke at the fore in the warm aftertaste. This is a delicious example of an uncommon and unique varietal wine. (156 views) |
