Great moderate purple color. Slightly tight and closed on opening but opened over a half hour or so. Big, young red stone fruit but age shows in silky tsnnins and mouth feel. Very smooth with long finish. Probably approacjing peak but this bottle could go much longer.

A Ten Year Tasting: Wines of 2008 (Primarily Oregon Pinot Noir & Ringers) - Graciously hosted by Grinner:
Flight Three of Five - Wine 5:
Power and finesse. Leaning to the modern style, with noticeable oak treatment, yet powerfully framed, and packing the substance to evolve. Excellent!

The Lyon 10 Year Tasting: 2008 Oregon Pinot Noir (Lyon Den): Surprising over performer in this blind tasting and my OPN WOTN. Big, deep, black fruit dominated, and LONG! Nice acidity keeps it fresh. 93 on day 2, but acid wins on day 3.

Red and dark both, with lots of savory elements. Evens out with a little air.
