  • 2010 Sanguis Out of Line - USA, California, Central Coast
    95% Chardonnay, 4% Rousanne, and 1% Viognier. Golden color. Tropical fruit nose with some popcorn oak notes. Tastes of apple, melon, and cinnamon. Large vanilla oak backbone needs some more time to better integrate. Medium to full bodied. Nice freshness and acidity. Rich fruit forward finish with some good depth of fruit. (90 pts.)
  • 2009 Sanguis Levity - USA, California, Central Coast
    Deep ruby color. Meaty, barbacued red fruit aromatics with some interesting earthiness. Tastes of blackberry, cherry, anise, tobacco, black pepper, charcoal, and mint. Medium bodied. Good freshness and reasonably well balanced. Earthy finish with nice complexity. (91 pts.)
  • 2009 Sanguis Ode To Sunshine - USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Maria Valley
    Cloudy yellow color. Lemon and lime fruit on the nose. Tastes of peach, lemon, leache, and caramel. Medium bodied. Good balance with a rich finish. Not showing as well as it did a year ago. (89 pts.)
  • 2009 Sanguis Gravity - USA, California, Central Coast
    Ruby color. Blackberry with some red berry notes. Tastes of blackberry and earth. Soft finish. (90 pts.)
  • 2009 Sanguis Six White Horses - USA, California, Central Coast
    Dark purple color. Aromas of dark fruit and tobacco. Tastes of black cherry, anise, tobacco, earth, and anise. Very full bodied with doog freshness. Rich powerful finish with very nice depth and complexity. Outstanding. (94 pts.)
