2011 Domaine Amido Lirac - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Lirac
Nicely ripe and juicy, albeit simple. 60% Mourvèdre, 20% Carignan, 15% Syrah, 5% Grenache. 87-88 (87 pts.)

2011 Domaine Amido Côtes du Rhône Villages - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Côtes du Rhône Villages
Slight tartness on a vibrant cherry palate. The 14.5% alcohol content is almost not perceivable! Outstanding QPR. 87-88 (88 pts.)

2011 Domaine de Piaugier Côtes du Rhône La Grange de Piaugier - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Côtes du Rhône
Stewed fruits on both the nose and palate. (87 pts.)

2010 Domaine du Grand Montmirail Vacqueyras - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Vacqueyras
Nicely funky nose, medium tannins on the dry palate, and a yet primary finish. 65% Grenache, 35% Syrah. 87-89 (88 pts.)

2011 Domaine des Coteaux des Travers Rasteau Reserve - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Rasteau
Raspberry and blueberry on the nose, and good flavor integration on the palate, as well as some (white?) pepper on the finish. Easy drinking, with medium tannins. 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre. (88 pts.)

2006 Domaine Philippe & Vincent Jaboulet Crozes-Hermitage Nouvelère - France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Crozes-Hermitage
Wonderful aromatics on the nose. At its peak or perhaps slightly passed, depending on your drinking preference. Apparently it drank steadily over two hours. 89+ (89 pts.)
