Forse il Barbaresco ancora non lo capisco. Ho sentito quasi solo alcool sia al naso che in bocca. Pungente, distaccato, aggressivo. Aperto quasi due ore prima...non capisco. (899 views)

Very expressive nose right upon opening. Classic, developing, Nebbiolo aromas of dried cherry, mashed raspberry, forest floor, dried rose petal, mushroom, paint bucket and slight tar. After a while the perfume starts to fade and leaving just raisin-y fruit, root veggies, bonfire and tar.

Very smooth and rounded up on the palate. Medium bodied with the acidity intact but the tannins are almost gone. Dried red fruit, rose hips, forest floor and tar. Decent intensity and a lingering finish.

This one was far more developed than any 2008 Barbaresco I've had. Not a bad wine at all but I had some expectations and this was my first wine from this producer that I've heard so much great things about. Hopefully an off-bottle or maybe these are some fast maturing Barbaresco. (1305 views)

Feminine, tight and elegant, but still incredible depth. Red berries and menthol rounded up by a floral and mineral expression. Already accessible with decanting. (2176 views)

Shiny ruby color. Very pretty nose of sweet red cherries, flowers, some menthol and licorice. It's opening up significantly with some air. On the palate there are beautiful notes of red cherries again, also crushed flowers, some minerals, licorice and some menthol. Medium-bodied with medium+ tannin and medium acidity. Good length. This is a very pretty Barbaresco with beautiful aromatics for medium-term consumption. (92+) (2972 views)

Perfume, patchuli, dried roses, lovely aromatic nose; elegant, huge drying tannins however. These should soften up, really nice, great QPR. (1547 views)
